Official FUJIFILM X-Photographer

I’m very pleased (absolutely buzzing, actually!) to share the news that I have accepted an invitation from Fujifilm to become one of their brand ambassadors, an Official FUJIFILM X-Photographer.

The fantastic Fujifilm cameras and Fujinon lenses have become my photographic tools of choice since I bought an X-T2 and tested a 100-400mm lens over two years ago. From this moment, I was hooked on the qualities of the X Mount system!

More recently, I’ve had the pleasure of working with Fujifilm UK and attending some of their events. Meeting the team and some of the other X-Photographers and seeing their work spanning photographic genres leaves me very humbled and grateful to be invited to join this prestigious group.

It is a very exciting time for Fujifilm (and for me too of course!), I already know of some events and projects I will be involved in and I look forward to seeing what the future holds working alongside the Fujifilm UK team and photographers.

I’d like to say thank you to Laura, Theo, Andreas, Pete and many more at Fujifilm for their continued support and interest in my photography. Also, thank you to everybody who supports me by reading my blog posts, interacts on social media and comes along to my photography workshops.

    Hi Alan,

    Many congratulations!

Having just spent a few days in the field with you, I can honestly say that you’re species knowledge was amazing, and that along with your thoughtful & ethical approach to photographing wild animals makes this accolade so richly deserved!

I wish you every success in the future and would very much like to work with you again soon!

How do you find the batteries with Fuji camera X-T3? I’ve read they dno’t last a long time.

    • Alan Hewitt March 19, 2020 at 6:10 pm - Reply

I don’t have a X-T3 James but I thik they’re about the same as the X-H1. You can take a few actions to help extend battery life such as set stability to ativate only when shooting, use the automatic EVF eye detector and switch off pre-AF. If you aren’t needing the camera primed for action make sure you don;t always use boost mode too.
