About Alan
I am a wildlife photographer, writer, workshop and safari leader based in Northumberland in the United Kingdom.
My wildlife photography is driven by my appreciation and fascination of the natural world from my favourite local patch, The Farne Islands, to the birds and mammals of sub-Saharan Africa.

Northumberland Birds of Prey Photography Workshops…
2021 dates to be announced!
Photograph a range of fantastic birds of prey in two different Northumberland locations. On our rural photography workshop we photograph the birds in a range of natural settings using moss covered dry stone walls, in the dappled light beneath woodland tree canopies and amongst branches in native woodlands.
On Holy Island, we photograph the birds amongst the traditional fishing heritage and against the incredible backdrops of the historical Abbey and Lindisfarne Castle.
The Print Room
‘The Print Room’, an evolving collection of limited and open edition wildlife photographic prints available to order online.
Each print is produced to order by one of the UK’s top professional photo labs using the highest quality photographic paper for beautiful and long lasting results. Frames and mounts are hand-crafted and assembled after I’ve added titles, edition numbers and my signature. A certificte of authenticity is enclosed with each print, together with a background story about the photograph.
I picked up the ‘Kisaru’ print from the Post Office yesterday and it was even better than I had expected!
I also received the certificate, thank you so much for the trouble you have taken. I am so pleased that I persevered to find you after seeing the photograph in the Times newspaper.
I picked up my print after it was delivered to my neighbours, I absolutely love it!! It draws you in and the light is just fabulous.
Thank you so much for arranging the delivery.
