Karula
Karula was a female leopard in Sabi Sands, one of the reserves in the Greater Kruger area of South Africa.
She was affectionately known as the ‘Queen of Djuma’, a reference to her territorial area in Sabi Sands and her incredible success at succesfully raising multiple litters of cubs to adulthood.
Karula was last seen in March 2017. She disappeared without trace leaving her last litter of male and female cubs, Xongile and Hosanna to fend for themselves.
